Luis Figo demands Barcelona could sign Cristiano Ronaldo if the Real Madrid genius' release clause is activated.
The Portugal legend broadly crossed the Clasico divide in 2000 when Real Madrid paid his £37.2m buyout clause, then a world record expense for a player, and underlines how a comparable move could happen today.
Ronaldo, who was as of late delegated Europe's Best Player for a brief moment time, supposedly has a buyout proviso in his Madrid contract worth €1.5 billion [£1.25bn] and Figo does not trust a conceivable switch to Barcelona is off the cards for his comrade.
"We are in a free market," he told Record. "On the off chance that there is an end provision, anything can happen."
Discussing his own turn from Barcelona 15 years back, he included: "The main reason was for Real was the acknowledgment by the president of Real Madrid. So things were getting more genuine and I got the offer and I reported it [to Barcelona] with a perspective to enhancing my agreement."
