Shane Long has conferred his future to Premier League side Southampton by marking another four-year contract.
Long, who moved to the club from Hull City two years prior, delays his stay at St Mary's to 2020 with the club reporting the arrangement on their official site.
The Republic of Ireland striker has scored 21 objectives amid his two seasons at Southampton and says that the "family feel" of the club was behind his choice to pen new terms.
"I'm pleased," Long told the club's authentic site. "I'm eager to be a piece of what could be a major future in the following four years for this club.

"I'm enchanted," Long told the club's authentic site. "I'm eager to be a piece of what could be a major future in the following four years for this club.
"I adore it here, the set-up, the preparation ground, the fellows too - everybody around the club. It's a genuine family feel, and I have a feeling that I'm a major part of that and I have a feeling that I'm playing my best football here too.
"I've appreciated each moment down here. I'm cheerful, my family are glad and it's a decent place to be."
Long will work under another Southampton director after previous Lyon and Nice mentor Claude Puel supplanted Ronald Koeman, who has assumed control at Everton.
