French international defender Mamadou Sakho's future at Liverpool might be in some uncertainty after he returned home ahead of schedule from the club's tour through the United States on the requests of director Jurgen Klopp.
The 26-year-old, who missed the Europa League last as he was serving a doping suspension and was then precluded from France's Euro 2016 squad, is apparently returning for more treatment on a troublesome Achilles damage.
In any case, the Daily Telegraph claims Klopp took the choice after Sakho – who cost Liverpool £18million in 2013 – turned up late for the club's flight to the USA and after that intruded on the German amid a meeting performed amid a voyage through the notorious Alcatraz Island jail.
In the video Sakho intrudes on Klopp and asks: "To what extent do you think you can live here?"
Klopp gives him short shrift.
"I don't need to consider that – you ought to. Stand out of us turned up late for takeoff from Liverpool. It was you."
